Home Visiting is a FREE, voluntary program offered by a variety of partners of the Wheaton Warrenville Early Childhood Collaborative. It provides personalized support for eligible expected families and families with young children, right in your home.
This program is designed to support you as a parent, strengthen your child’s development, and connect your family to helpful community resources.


What is Home Visiting?
Home visiting programs pair families with trained professionals who provide guidance, support, and resources during pregnancy and early childhood. Visits take place in your home or another comfortable setting, making services flexible and personalized.
Home visiting focuses on building strong parent–child relationships, supporting healthy development, and helping families navigate challenges during the early years.

Participation in home visiting is always voluntary. Eligibility varies by program, but WWECC can help you understand which programs may be available to your family.

Home visiting support for eligible families in DuPage County is coordinated through a variety of partners agencies of the Wheaton Warrenville Early Childhood Collaborative. These programs connect families with trained professionals who offer guidance, developmental support, parenting resources, and access to helpful services, all from the comfort of your home.

Program Locations
Home visiting and early childhood support services are available to eligible families throughout DuPage County and are typically provided in the comfort of your home.
Programs listed on this site are offered by trusted partner agencies of the Wheaton/Warrenville Early Childhood Collaborative. This approach helps ensure families are connected to the right support, in the right setting, based on their individual needs.
Prevention Initiative Home Visiting Program (CUSD200 Families Only)
The Metropolitan Family Services Prevention Initiative Home Visiting Program is available exclusively to eligible families residing within Community Unit School District 200 (CUSD200).
Families enrolled in this program receive:

Weekly home visits

90 minutes per visit
-
46 visits per year
Visits provide consistent, relationship-based support that focuses on child development, family well-being, and school readiness. The program utilizes the trusted Parents as Teachers (PAT) curriculum, an evidence-based model that empowers parents as their child’s first and most important teacher.
